Boil two measures (400 ml) water in a small pressure cooker with two tsp Ghee. | |
Add one measure (200 g) Little Millet Sweet Pongal Mix and mix well. | |
Close the cooker lid and pressure cook for 7-8 whistles. (till cooked) | |
Cool to release the pressure, add 2 tsp Ghee and mix well. | |
Allow the pressure to release for 8 to 10 minutes. | |
Tasty Sweet Pongal is ready to serve. | |

Pongal or huggi is a popular South Indian rice dish. In Tamil “pongal” means “bubbling up”. In Telugu and Kannada, pongali is a dish of rice mixed with boiled milk and sugar. Huggi is derived from the Old Kannada word Puggi meaning “bubbled up, ballooned”.
